When coming to the office, going home, or visiting customers, there are different modes of transportation, and no matter which mode you choose, getting to your destination safely is important.
Commuting guidelines 🏁🚔
- Make sure your calendar is always up to date, and adjust your commuting times accordingly.
- When commuting, especially by car, you are encouraged to skip or reschedule a meeting, and you should feel supported to do that.
- Avoid being distracted by your screen at all times. In urgent situations, make sure you communicate via car kit/car phone.
- Mention something if you notice a colleague attending a meeting while driving. Together we create a work culture where safety is a top priority.
- Install the MONO app or set your phone focus to driving or do not disturb so you are minimally disturbed while on the road.

- Make sure that your bike is in good working order, including having lights and a bell.
- If you are walking, especially at night, make sure you are visible. If you walk regularly, consider bright clothing.

Your safety and the safety of others on the road is a top priority, so we encourage you to avoid multitasking while driving. When you’re distracted, it becomes harder to react quickly to unexpected situations. For example, responding to a message or thinking about a question can take more than 3 seconds – at 100 km/h, that’s almost 100 meters, or the length of a football field, without paying attention!
While it's tempting to join calls or meetings during your commute, remember that you can always catch up once you’ve arrived at your destination. Your safety comes first, so consider whether it's truly necessary to engage while driving.
